HR Management /Strategy

The Division of Management is inter-disciplinary and the faculty in the division is diverse. The Division of Management is comprised of four major disciplines:

1. Organization Behavior & Theory provides students with an understanding of the behavior and structure of organizations at the individual, group, and organization levels. Organization Behavior deals with such topics as perception, personality, motivation, communication, decision making, learning, and leadership. Organization Theory covers a range of issues revolving around organization structure, inter-organizational arrangement, the business environment, and organizational change.

2. Human Resource Management provides students with an understanding of the planning, organizing, developing, and controlling of human resources. Specifically, this subject covers topics such as recruitment and selection, human resource development, career development programs, performance evaluation, and compensation policies and schemes.

3. Strategic Management provides students with an integrated top-management perspective on strategic issues such as resources and capabilities, competitive advantage, and diversification. This subject focuses on strategy formulation, implementation and control at both corporate and business unit levels to understand how firms create and sustain competitive advantage.

4. International Business provides students with opportunities to study and experience the strategic and organizational challenges facing multinational corporations (MNCs). This subject covers the international business environment, the management of MNCs, and global strategy.

Contents to learn

The core curriculum in these disciplines combines the faculty's inter-disciplinary knowledge of the most current developments in Strategy, Management and Organization in an increasingly globalizing business environment.
The Division is responsible for the MBA specialization in the 'Management Track'.Students who have specialized in this major pursue careers as managers in Human Resources, Planning, and International Business Departments or other corresponding divisions of business organizations after graduation. Many students work as industry experts in positions as consultants, HR specialists, and strategy experts in the HR and Strategy fields
